You know those personality tests where your answers to a number of questions help classify you into a type-category? Yeah. Those never work for me. I never seem to fall into any obvious category. With me, it is never either/or. It is always both/and!

It is little wonder then that today I find myself doing TWO things. I am a genealogist and I am photographer. And while that might seem really strange to some people, it makes perfect sense to me. I am a family historian. I have this sense of time that compels me to learn about the people who came before us and tell their stories. But I also have a gift for using light and imagery to tell family stories through my camera lens. Time is fleeting, and we owe it to ourselves to consider how the past has influenced today and how today will be remembered in the future.

I am currently serving photography clients in Champaign – Urbana, Illinois and genealogy clients worldwide.
